The system is made up with an instrument adaptor with internal eyepiece collar to fit to the instrument eyepiece tube, spacer ring(s) to position the camera as close to the eyepiece as possible, and a stepping ring to convert the T2 thread of the unit to the filter thread of the camera lens. It is suitable for most digicams & camcorders.
INSTRUMENT ADAPTOR & EYEPIECE COLLAR
This unit fixes the assembly to the eyepiece tube. The collar fits into the instrument adaptor, and accepts the instrument eyepiece. There are three thumb screws around the instrument adaptor which fix it to the eyepiece tube. The screw in the collar clamps the eyepiece in place. Two collars are available for microscope eyepieces (23.2mm and 29.95mm) and two sizes for astronomical telescopes (0.96” and 1-1/14”).
SPACER RINGS (s)
As the aim is to position the camera lens as close as possible to the eyepiece simply measure the eyepiece head length as illustrated and choose spacers which combine to the next 5mm. They are available in lengths of:5, 10, 20, and 40mm.Other lengths can be made to order.
T2 STEPPING RING
The final component is a T2 adaptor to suit the lens filter thread of your camera. We produce standard sizes, all with the conventional T2 inner thread.
