Star Effect Filters for film, digital cameras and camcorders, & camcorders
These filters have a pattern of lines etched across the surface which cause light to flare along the lines. The pattern governs the number of star rays, and the proximity of the lines to each other controls the intensity of the star, and the degree of associated diffusion. Use these filters with a high intensity point light source such as car headlights, fairy lights, street lights, or sunlight twinkling on water. The effect varies with aperture. Small apertures give small bright stars with fine rays. Wide apertures give large stars with broad rays.
