A problem with the standard C-mount/Nikon adaptor that we offer is that long, heavy lenses cause the internal bayonet springs to compress with the result that the lens sags slightly. This adaptor has been designed to overcome this problem by using a breech lock ring rather than a conventional bayonet mount. The lens is offered to the fronT of the adaptor, and the lever locks it in place. The lever is then tightened in position making a very positIve lock.
